Frequently Asked Questions:
These FAQ will provide you with more information on this product based on our customer’s requirements and experiences.
Question: What does it come with?
Answer: The lathe itself, a small faceplate for mounting things, the tailstock (and tailstock screw handle), the banjo and tool rest (which you use to position and rest your turning tool – not included), a live center for the tailstock, a dive center for the headstock and a knock out bar.
Question: Will this work in the U.K.?
Answer: You must reduce your input voltage to about 110 volts! Choose a voltage reduction unit that is no less than 1000 watts.
I know from experience that if you don’t there will be a loud BANG, and replacements will be needed.
Question: What Is indexing for?
Answer: The index lock locks the headstock in place to tighten or remove the chuck or faceplate easily. Just be sure the lathe is completely stopped first.
Question: Is the 3/4 horsepower strong enough to do a 12-inch bowl?
Answer: I mounted a piece of wet Ash at the max diameter (had to trim it with the bandsaw so it would fit) and used a 5/8 gouge to start, but had to switch the belt to the lower speed setting for more torque as the high setting tripped the motor reset. So yes, using the lower speed setting at the initial start had no problems.

The fact is, that even if you are not able to thoroughly understand the features described above and not experienced enough to use this powerful machine.
